Jennifer Ellis, Esquire
Jennifer Ellis is an attorney with the Philadelphia area law firm of Lowenthal & Abrams, PC. She handles cases involving legal ethics. Jennifer also manages the firm’s online presence.
In addition, Jennifer Ellis is a law practice management consultant. She focuses her consulting on three areas: creating and improving the online presence of law firms, helping attorneys increase their efficiency, and aiding businesses in their efforts to reach the legal vertical market. A nationally known speaker and author, Jennifer addresses such issues as search engine optimization, website building, social media, ethics, law practice management, and technology. She is the author of WordPress in One Hour for Lawyers and the chapter on social media for the Solo and Small Firm Legal Technology Guide.
Previously, Jennifer Ellis served with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, concluding her twelve year tenure there as Associate Director of Media Technologies. She managed many of PBI’s programs on technology, technology law and law practice management, as well as PBI’s social media presence. Jennifer led PBI to two ACLEA awards for technology and social media marketing.
Involved with service to the legal profession, Jennifer Ellis is a member of the Pennsylvania, American and Montgomery Bar Associations. For the ABA, she is a member of the Law Practice Division where she serves on the Publications committee and on Council. For the PBA, Jennifer is Vice-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Practice Section, on the Executive Committee of Women in the Profession and Secretary of the GLBT Rights Committee.
Jennifer obtained her B.A. in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, and her J.D. cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Delaware, where she served on the Board of the Moot Court Honors Society and as a member of Law Review. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
