GISHWHES The Scaveger Hunt That Has Me Acting A Bit Nutty

GISHWHESI don’t believe I will surprise anyone when I say I am not known for my frivolity. It isn’t that I can’t appreciate or tell a joke, but I am also known to be a pretty serious person to the general public. So there is a great deal of confusion going on for people who read my Facebook page as I ask for things such as:

  • Flash Costume
  • Storm Trooper Costume
  • People to engage in a flash mob at 30th street station
  • and more

Where does this come from? It comes from a scavenger hunt called GISHWHES, which my sister, Loren, convinced me to do this year. I cannot share all of the tasks with you, nor can I show you images, yet.  I will once the hunt is over at the end of the week.

But I can also tell you I sang and wrote a song called “Mom” and will be going to hand out food to the homeless on Saturday, something I should have done long before this. I also have created a twitter account that needs to say the same thing once every day. I have almost 600 followers.

My teammates include my sister, her husband and their children, and two of their friends.  Since each team must be made of 15 people, we were paired up with several more people who are from “across the pond.”

The experience has been a great deal of fun, and I look forward to sharing more about it with you.

If you have never tried GISHWHES I strongly recommend you consider doing so next year. It is a blast.
